Visible Materials

Visible Region: Wavelengths 400 nm - 700 nm

The visible wavelength region of the electro-magnetic spectrum is a relatively narrow band defined by the sensitivity of the human eye. There are many instruments that we use in every day life that utilize visible light for reproduction of colors, finer resolution, and precise measurements. Cameras, printers, barcode scanners, microscopes, and telescopes are some of the systems using the visible spectrum.

There are many glass types, which can be used to manufacture visible optics. These glasses are defined according to their refractive index and dispersion. Our engineering team has a vast knowledge in selecting the appropriate material and coatings to modify the nature of light in a controlled manner by using a microoptical system.
