West Palm Beach, FL - Coastal Optical Systems, Inc. has teamed with Interactive Pictures Corporation (Oak Ridge, TN) to design and build V360TM, a 360 degree video camera to allow an unlimited number of viewers on a digital network to see real-time video images in a complete 360 degrees.
Coastal Optical Systems' new design is the first lens of its kind to produce high performance imagery of a seamless, full 360 degree scene with no loss of content.
Using the new camera lens system designed by Coastal Optical Systems (patent pending) and Interactive Pictures' proprietary software, the V360TM system allows viewers to navigate around full motion video images without distortion.
V360TM has been introduced at InfoWorld's Demo 99 and received rave reviews in USA Today Tech Report (2/18/99). A demo of V360 is currently available
