Serial Production in volume
From 2004 through 2007 we delivered up to 750 assemblies annually of a 7 element interferometrically qualified lens for conditioning of laser beam used for pre-press application in the printing industry.
Dynamic assemblies and multiple designs
The assemblies included two sub assemblies, one for focus and one for magnification.
Several generations in the lens sets were delivered for various wavelenghts of operation ranging from NIR to 405nm.
Acceptance Test Protocol
Testing protocol required delivery of on-axis and off-axis test data points for each serialized assembly.
Field performance of the lens was critical at high temperatures. This in application thermal loading made delivering meaningful test data equivalent to the operational conditions difficult.
Close technical collaboration between JENOPTIK and the customer engineering staff were required to deliver qualified assemblies within the economic pressures of the customer market.
